The book contains the livelihood of Holy Martyr Alexander Medema prepared on a documentary basis (1877-1931), his letters and materials of archival-investigative cases - evidence of persecution of the Russian Orthodox Church in the XX century. The life of the Holy Martyr, from birth to death in the hospital of the Syzransk prison, is shown against the background of the church-historical and socio-political events of the past time and can serve as an edification in the faith, loyalty to God, Holy Church and its Earthly Fatherland. The historiographic and biographical material used in the publication is assembled and used in publication may be of interest to the historians of the Church and Agiographs.
