The Pushkin era is a "quarter of a century," counted by Pushkin himself from the date of the founding of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum (1811), the 1810s-1830s are considered the "golden age" of Russian poetry. It received its name not for the sake of eloquence: in antiquity, the "golden age" was called the era of beauty, goodness, and justice, a lost paradise. Indeed, the art of the nineteenth century absorbed the most beautiful and kind, powerful and unique features of Russian culture. With good reason, the culture of this era can be called the paradise of the Russian soul, lost but rediscovered in the poems of the poets of the Pushkin era.
The collection includes lyrical poems by authors who defined the image of the "golden age" of Russian poetry with their creativity: V. Zhukovsky, K. Batyushkov, D. Davydov, P. Vyazemsky, A. Pushkin, A. Delvig, V. Kyukhelbeker, E. Baratynsky, A. Griboyedov, and many others.
