'The Golden Age' is a book by Scottish author Kenneth Grahame, first published in 1895. It is a collection of memories of childhood, embodied in images and metaphors that are rooted in the culture of Ancient Greece. In the world that Grahame shows to the reader through the eyes of children, they are forced to confront adults - 'Olympians', who have forgotten what it's like to be children, and therefore have completely stopped understanding them.
