The book is devoted to one of the important events of the historical period between the two world wars - the International Economic Conference in Genoa in 1922. The Genoese Conference was an attempted former allies of Russia to put the Soviet state as a control, to achieve its return to the LONO of the so-called "civilized world" on the rights of the colony. Thanks to the firm position of the Soviet delegation, these attempts failed.
After Genoa, our state took a course on building socialism in a separate country, building relations with the West on the principles of peaceful coexistence and at the same time preparing for a new world war that was inevitable.
Panorama of the economic and political events described in the book comes far beyond the Genoese Conference. The author believes that many events of the worldwide and domestic history between the two world wars are a great lesson for modern Russia. Including Genoa may and should become a model for today"s Russian diplomacy. We will be able to successfully resist the current economic and political pressure of the West to the Russian Federation, if we take into account the experience of socialist industrialization in the conditions of the then blockade of the West
