L. Panteleev is the pseudonym of the writer Alexey Ivanovich Yeremeev (1908-1987). He is best known for his autobiographical story "Republic of ShKID," co-authored with G. Belikh. The collection includes stories by L. Panteleev about the Great Patriotic War. He was an eyewitness and direct participant in the terrible events of 1941-1945. He fought on the front lines, miraculously survived the blockade of Leningrad, and lost his brother in the war. The heroes of Panteleev's stories are children who continue to live on despite everything. They are brave and courageous kids who daily perform their small and big feats. Suitable for middle school age.
