"If you are not going to write about incredible adventures, then there is no point in taking up the pen." Another volume of "Masters of Adventures" presents its readers with a true gem of adventurous rogue novel - the mysterious and explosive "First Adventure of Corantin Kemper." This rather original pirate odyssey, full of salty drive, life's reckoning, and mischievous Breton humor, came from the brilliant pen of Paul Féval the Elder, the author of the famous "The Hunchback." The book also includes early sea novellas by the writer, among which "The Seal Club" (1841) stands out - a story with motifs similar to "The Count of Monte Cristo," written long before Dumas' novel. All works are being published in Russian for the first time.
