The history of the book of the famous Russian public figure, lawyer Grigory Avetovich Dzhanshiev (1851-1900) of the era of great reforms is not entirely common in this series. Not being a professional historian, Dzhanshiev wrote a labor, which in 1892-1907. He managed to withstand 10 publications and took an important place in the domestic literature on the liberal reforms of the reign of Alexander II, which is still widely used by historians of reform and counter -reforms in Russia of the second half of the 19th century. This allows us to talk about Dzhanshiev as one of the founders of Russian historiography of liberal transformations
