Kazimir Valishevsky (1849-1935) - a well-known Polish historian, a publicist and writer, who worked in France most of the life, awarded the French Academy of Sciences" for a great contribution to modern historiography. For more than 30 years he studied the history of Russia of the XVI-XIX centuries. Valishevsky worked in the archives of St. Petersburg, Paris, London, Berlin and Vienna. The result of this work was the series of books "origin of modern Russia", published in France from 1892 to 1925.
