The adventures of the famous baron in St. Petersburg, near Ochakov, at sea, and on the Moon are presented this time in the form of a heroic poem in fourteen songs with illustrations, a prologue, and an epilogue. Karl Friedrich Hieronymus von Münchhausen (1720–1797) is "their own" for Russian readers three times: as a real officer who served in Russia from 1738 to 1750, as a character from the extremely popular retelling of Rudolf Raspe's book in the USSR, done by Kornei Chukovsky, and finally as a romantic hero in the film by Gorin and Zakharov. But the Italians found their own Münchhausen, poetic. Under the pen of Caporazo and the brush of Olivotti, the brave baron not only experiences well-known adventures, narrated in swift verses and colorful drawings, but also dreams of travels that were never actually undertaken. However, what is "reality" for Münchhausen? ***Gianluca Caporazo (Basilicata) is a writer, storyteller, volunteer, creator of cultural projects, and a member of the artistic group "Moon on a Leash." Sergio Olivotti (Liguria) is an author and illustrator, a laureate of several artistic awards, including the Moscow "Golden Bee," who has published several books with Lavieri publishing house that can be equally enjoyed by children and adults. Mikhail Vizel (Moscow) translates books from Italian and writes them himself, and is also eager to share them with others.
