The ELLIS scientist believes that the study of the language is a study of its phonetics in a broad sense, and this opinion until the 1990s of the last century was widely accepted when the target language and the syntax of the target language became the focus of the study in the language. In this paper, the main hypotheses and models in the study of the second language are analyzed, thereby revealed by the chief factor - the age affecting the acquisition of the pronunciation of the second (foreign language) language. At the same time, it is emphasized that it is necessary to objectively refer to the importance of the age of students of the second (foreign) language: age is an important, but not the only factor in purchasing a net pronunciation of the target language
