In 1938, the eighteen-year-old native of Vienna Ruth Meyer fled from the persecution of the Nazis to Norway. Here she studied in the gymnasium and art school, composed stories, made friends with the future famous Norwegian poetess Gunvor Hofmo. Until the most recent days before the deportation in Auschwitz in November 1942, Ruth led the diary, which began at twelfth. His recordings, drawings and letters, as well as photos from the family archive make up the basis of this book. Ruth Meyer Diaries is an important historical document that has become available to Norwegian readers only in 2007, in the publication prepared by the poet and literary criticism of Yan Eric Wall
