Senior investigator of the Investigative Committee Orest Volin is invited for consultations in France. Here, on the border with Italy in the resort town of La Rosière, the body of an unknown man killed in a very exotic way was discovered. The method is not entirely clear, but its consequences are such that all the internal organs of the deceased are destroyed. No documents or phone were found on the deceased. During the examination of the body, a trace of a removed tattoo is found. The lead investigator, Irène Belyu, identifies some letters as Russian and then turns to Volin for help, suspecting that the unnamed deceased may have been of Russian origin.
