The monograph explores the institute of coat of arms as a tool for the formation of noble generic corporations and their presentation in society. The author shows that in this capacity the coat of arms was in demand in all layers of serving class of the XVII-XIX centuries. The preserved images of the coat of arms indicate the difficult paths of folding heraldic traditions in certain kinds that sometimes include local and political conflicts.
