In the collection "Brill between Russian literature", for the first time, the philological prose of Sergei Dovlatov is quite fully represented. He wrote about Pushkin and Tolstoy, V. Ufland and A. Sinyavsky, Kafka and Hemingway (as "Russian" and personal authors) Reviews of Dovlatov, a magazine division, turn into literary portraits, then into essays of literary morals. The philological prose of Dovlatov is not characterized by objectivity, but by personal tone, ulcerativeness, humor - the same properties that are characteristic of his "ordinary" prose. Dovlatov’s texts are accompanied by a real comment and an article by the professor, d. n. I.N. Sukhikh
