The book about Lermontov offers a comprehensive view of the personality and creativity of the most enigmatic poet in Russian literature. The author not only introduces the reader to the main stages of Lermontov's short but eventful biography, and his 'major' literary works (poems, the poem "Song of the Tsar Ivan Vasilyevich, the Young Oprichnik and the Valiant Merchant Kalashnikov", the novel "A Hero of Our Time").
