The Age of Georgy Arbatov. Memories

The book is prepared for the 100th anniversary of the academician Georgy Arkadyevich Arbatov - a well-known Americanist scientist and political figure, an outstanding Russian expert in the field of international relations. It is impossible to imagine the Soviet-American détente of the 1970s, the warming of the international climate, and the new political thinking of the 1980s, as well as the establishment of new relations between Russia and the USA in the 1990s without G.A. Arbatov. Without him, there would have been no end to the Cold War and the beneficial change in world politics. The book includes memories of G.A. Arbatov himself and his contemporaries. The publication also contains photographs - visual evidence of events in which he was directly involved.
