Yakov Vilimovich Bruce is an outstanding son of two peoples, Scottish and Russian. Even during his lifetime, the people went about legends about him as a magician and a warlock, and surrounded by Peter the Great Bruce was known as an outstanding military leader, commander of all Russian artillery during the Northern War, as a brilliant diplomat.
