This edition is the first beginner's textbook of modern Hebrew, designed for Russian-speaking students in terms of grammar, vocabulary, and themes. The textbook was prepared by the Department of Judaic Studies at the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and is intended for first-year students, but can also be used in informal education settings and for self-study of the language. The theoretical part - a detailed and accessible grammar - is accompanied by texts and exercises. Approved by the Higher Education Council for Classical University Education as a textbook for students of Higher Educational Institutions studying in the field of 032100 'Oriental Studies and African Studies'. Prepared by the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov.
