U. Timothy Gallway / Gallwey (W. Timothy Gallwey) is an American business coach, the creator of the personal effectiveness method, known as the "inner game".
U. Timothy Gallway was born in 1938 in San Francisco. After 15 years of grueling training, when he once again missed a very easy blow during the National Youth Championship in Kalamazu, Michigan, Galluway thought about the reasons for such bad luck, and this question had gained fundamental importance for him. Desperate, worthy of Don Quixote hike for truth and beauty, as well as excellent marks at Harvard, where he was the captain of the tennis team, did not give him any answer to this question. Then, after 10 years, abandoning the career in the college administration, he continued his searches for Europe and Asia. And only when Galluway finally refused to search, the answer himself found him. This discovery led to the creation of such a school as "Tennis Yoga" (the school acted on the "Tennis Ranch of John Gardiner" and at the "Esalie Sports Center" in California), to the opening of the "Institute of Internal Game" and writing this book. Bestseller W. Timothy Galluea "The Inner Game of Tennis", who received worldwide glory, was published in 1974. Russian translation of the book called "Tennis: Psychology of Successful Game" Saw Light in the publishing house "Olympus Business" in 2010.
New principles and teaching techniques are nominated in it - both for coaches and athletes.
