"Ten arrangements from the Obikhod, Op. 61 by A. K. Lyadov (1855–1914) is a rare example of the composer turning to the genre of sacred music. Lyadov conceived the idea as early as 1881, but the first edition of the collection was only published in 1907 (according to other sources, in 1909). In most of the choral pieces, Lyadov adheres to a four-voice setting, with the exception of the first (six-voice) and ninth (five-voice) numbers. The collection is intended for mixed choirs of middle and higher educational institutions, as well as concert ensembles."
