The conflict in the south-east of Ukraine and the accession to Russia of Crimea launched a chain of events, the outcome of which was the new cold war. Her parties, as before, are Russia and the West - primarily the United States. But why did this happen? Why did the Americans responded so painfully on the actions of Russia, and not, for example, China or Islamic fundamentalists?
According to Vladimir Solovyov, the reason is in the religious nature of this conflict, and in the role of a new religion today is a democracy in its American reading. When Russia, for the first time after Yeltsin, spoke about his independent path, about the need for ideology, about the "Russian world", in the minds of new missionaries there was a rupture of the template.
