The interfaces of switching nodes and stations with the support of operational-search operations (sorpet) in communication networks, both traditional, switched channels and packages and prospective networks of the next generation NGN are considered. The tasks of supporting the cord in the switching nodes and the ways to solve them in Russia and in other countries are set out. The features of solving these tasks in stationary networks - telephone, data transmission - and in mobile networks are discussed. Special attention is paid to the protocols of the sorpte, conversion and testing, as well as the network aspects of the management points of the SORM, their distributed organization and architecture. The modern implementation of the equipment of the grade in switching nodes and stations and the prospects for their development are considered
