Irony, sarcasm and living language immediately made their first novel "12 chairs "successful.
The plot of the novel "12 chairs" (1928) is an adventurous story about the Swearing Swear Ostap Bender and Kise Vorobyaninov. The hero of the novel Kis Vorobyaninov, a former nobleman, dreams of becoming rich again. Upon learning of diamonds hidden in chairs, he decides to find them. Thus begins a large adventure of Kisa and Bender, because they do not know which of the 12 chairs the treasures are hidden.
