The book talks about the everyday life of the inhabitants of Mikhailovsky - the estate belonging to the family of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. In the center of the narrative, not only the two years that Alexander Sergeyevich spent here uncontrollably in exile (from August 1824 to September 1826), but also other Pushkin’s visits to the Pskov land, where he returned many times more. The author seeks to trace everything, even the smallest details of Pushkin’s life, his daily impressions, communication, etc., based on the indisputable fact that the circumstances of everyday life for any person are no less important than large historical events and fractures of the eras and it is from them. Mostly human life develops: “The omnipotent god of details” stands behind all its vicissitudes.
The second part of the book describes the daily life of Mikhailovsky without Pushkin. The fate of the Pushkin reserve in the post -war years occupies a special place in it. In particular, on the pages of the book before the reader appears a vivid image of the long -term “keeper” of the local places Semyon Stepanovich Gamichenko.
For the first time in the history of the series, the book will be released in two variants of bindings, ordinary and exclusive
