The 'Technical Exercises' of the greatest Hungarian pianist and composer Ferenc (Franz) Liszt are being published in Russia for the first time. The 12 exercise notebooks represent excellent material for the rational and structured work of a pianist on the technical aspect of performance mastery. The tenth notebook of 'Technical Exercises' consists of four sequences of broken arpeggios. Of particular interest is the second group of arpeggios, where the left hand starts them later and sort of 'catches up' with the right hand. All exercises are original variations for working on the technique of broken arpeggios.
