The story of Alexander Neverov (1886-1923) "Tashkent-City of Bread during the life of the writer came out only once. The Earth and Factory Publishing House, following the author, addressed its adult reader, which naturally, given the tragedy of the described events - the hunger of 1921-1922 in the Volga region - the reliability, the sincerity of this description. Neverov was not just a witness to hunger, not only survived him, but also made the same way to the saving "bread city of Tashkent", which in the story will fall to the share of the hero - twelve -year -old peasant Mishka Dodonov - and his companions. However, later this story began to be published in various "school libraries" - series of books for medium and high school students.
