'Starman' is the title of a famous single by David Bowie, a British iconic musician, rock singer, and esoteric. The hero of the single, and later Bowie's pseudonym, was the fictional character Ziggy Stardust. The song reflects the life of the hero from beginning to end. This same concept formed the basis of the Tarot deck that David Bowie conceived and realized in 1995 in collaboration with designer David de Angelis. The result was a creative and striking deck, the uniqueness of which was that Bowie himself was captured in the characters of the cards. Alchemical, magical, and occult symbols, Buddhist and Kabbalistic traditions were intertwined in fantastic images, creating a mysterious blend.
