Alexander Yakovlevich Tairov"s name is known to everyone who is familiar with the history of Russian theatrical art. This outstanding director revealed both the lives of the realistic theater and the abstraction of the conditional theater, opposing the Synthetic Theater, connecting the word, music, dance, circus. Tairov tried to embody his ideas in the chamber theater founded by him, having funny the beauty of man and the strength of his feelings in the range from the tragedy to the buffonad. Creative and Personal Unice of Tairov with great actress Alice Koonen gave rise to the best player performances, but there was no unity in their assessment - the director was reproached in Esthetism, Westernity, arrogant to viewers. As a result, in 1949 the theater was closed, which led to the sickness and death of his founder. The first biography of Tahirov in the ZhZl series is unusual - this is a documentary novel about the director, created by his fellow worker, the artistic director of the Moscow Theater "Hermitage" Mikhail Levitin. The author of the book explores not only the dramatic life path of Tairov, but also his creative heritage, which deeply influenced the modern theater
