Systems analysis and synthesis of strategic decisions in innovation: Conceptual design of innovative systems

The book discusses approaches, methods, and computer tools for solving problems of conceptual design of technical innovations and innovative organizations. The relevance of this issue lies in the fact that within the framework of strategic innovation management, it is necessary to teach students and specialists primarily the methods of developing and producing competitive industrial products. The use of a systemic approach at the initial stages of creating new equipment and technologies, i.e., at the stages where the technical solution concept is formed, allows for designing strategic innovations, the implementation of which is anticipatory in nature, ensuring the acquisition of competitive advantages in the future. The book presents approaches to creating technical innovations and innovative organizations based on the systemic use of the regularities of the structure and development of new equipment, mathematical, heuristic, and intellectual methods of analysis and synthesis of new solutions, methods of forecasting and designing future human needs, which serve as the starting point for subsequent exploratory research in the innovation technosphere. The methods of conceptual design of innovations discussed in the book reflect two paradigms of systemic analysis: reductionism, based on attempts to understand the system by breaking it down into parts and studying these parts, and holism, which involves studying the system, explaining the interaction of its elements and functions from the perspective of relationships with the environment. The textbook is based on the teaching of the material presented in it at Volgograd State Technical University, Russian State University for Innovation Technologies and Entrepreneurship, Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT), and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
