The assessment of systemic risk in the financial sector is a relatively new direction in economic science. The monograph presents a systematic approach to studying this phenomenon: it examines the characteristics of systemic risk, mechanisms of its formation and manifestation, quantitative assessment models, as well as regulatory measures. The influence of systemic risk on macroeconomic dynamics is discussed. Special attention is paid to the empirical aspects of studying systemic risk at the national and international levels.
