This book first talks about how the formation of Soviet-Syrian military cooperation took place in the late 1950s - early 1990s. It is based on personal memories and impressions of the Soviet military advisers in Syria on the peculiarities of life and service in this country, about its leaders - President X. Aasade, Minister of Defense M.Tlas and other political and military leaders of Syria, - as created in Tartus and Latakia - current points of stay of Russian troops - Soviet military bases, as the will of the Fate, in those years our servicemen were often in the epicenter of events and were forced to be often secretly, to participate in hostilities on the side of the Syrian Armed Forces. Most of the events described and the findings of the main characters are relevant today
