According to P.D. Ouspensky, symbolism in which symbols have a strictly defined meaning is pseudo-symbolism. The author believes that the key to Tarot is hidden in imagination, so you will have to read perhaps the most unusual description of well-known cards. In Ouspensky's sketches, you will find echoes of the reflections of many authors who wrote on the subject of Tarot, such as Saint-Martin, Eliphas Levi, and Dr. Papus. As well as other thinkers who never wrote about Tarot, such as Plato, Gichtel, Nietzsche, and yet came to the discovery of the same fundamental principles of the structure of the universe that underlie Tarot. Ouspensky is convinced that a symbol can serve to convey our intuitive understanding and lead to something new only until its meaning is finally determined. True symbols are constantly in the process of creation, as they are closely related to the inner work of the one perceiving them. The author admits that some descriptions of the arcanas express only his subjective representation and invites you to look at familiar cards in a new way and perhaps offer your own interpretation of the symbols.
