The monograph is the result of perennial studies of syllogistic theories in terms of symbolic logic. A detailed classification of silhogistic systems is given depending on the expressive possibilities of their languages and the conditions of the truth of categorical statements taken in them. The formal reconstruction of a series of Silogistle"s Silmogistics, L. Carroll, B. Boltsano, J. Venna, N.A. Vasilyeva, as well as traditional and fundamental syllogistics is carried out. Metacheoretical relationships are established between different systems of syllogistic, as well as between the syllogistics and modern logical theories. For several silhogistic systems, adequate intensive semantics are offered. The problem of completeness of a set of logical constants in the syllogistic theory is also investigated
