The book is based on many years of experience in observing and treating children with the surgical pathology of the upper limb, the data of domestic and foreign literature, tested by clinical practice.
The manual consists of two sections. The first is devoted to damage to children of all age groups (from a newborn to a puberty) with a description of traumatic dislocation, fractures, wounds of soft tissues and open fractures. In the second, surgical diseases are presented according to chapters with a description of purulent-inflammatory diseases, benign neoplasms of soft tissues and bones, paralytic deformations, degenerative-dystrophic diseases, dysplastic systemic pathology and congenital deformations. In all the variety of nosological forms, a clinical picture is described with symptoms of age manifestations, diagnostic methods and differential diagnostics, conservative treatment, testimony for operations and techniques of surgical interventions, maintaining a postoperative period and rehabilitation. A wide range of pathogenetically substantiated simultaneous, sometimes rapid, or palliative surgical interventions is presented - from the simplest to very complex performed, with the designation of the anatomy-topographic formations of the most dangerous imperative operations and instructions for preventing possible technical errors.
