Before you is the translation of the 11th edition of the fundamental guide 'Schwartz's Surgery'. This book, with a half-century history, is a bestseller, the most comprehensive, reliable, and advanced resource for several generations of surgeons worldwide, and now it has been translated into Russian for the first time.
The guide covers a wide range of surgical issues: from the basics of organizing care when surgical treatment is necessary and fundamental and applied aspects of patient treatment to the most relevant medico-social problems. The edition is edited by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) A.Sh. Revishvili, Academician of the RAS Yu.V. Belov, and Professor V.I. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery' of the Russian Ministry of Health and 'B.V. Petrovsky Russian Scientific Center of Surgery'.
The text of the guide has been revised for use in the Russian Federation and supplemented with comments based on clinical recommendations and other regulatory documents adopted in our country.
The edition contains over 800 photographs and 1300 drawings (most of them in color), hundreds of tables, charts, and diagrams, as well as QR codes that lead to additional sources of information and bibliography.
