"Resurrection" is the last Tolstovsky Roman, they reflected the spiritual and creative quest for the last years of the writer"s life. Started in 1889, the novel was completed and saw the light only after 10 years - in 1899. In Russian printing, many scenes and even chapters were prohibited for publication. Roman "Resurrection" was among those works Tolstoy, because of which he was excited from the church. Today, the novel is read differently. The tragic story of Kney Nehludova tired of the light and accused Katyusha Katyusha"s murder became one row with the greatest works of world literature of the XIX century
