The textbook is compiled by the course "History of the literature of the countries of the studied languages". It introduces foreign students to Russian classical and modern literature, with the life and work of Russian writers, with the features of the style of studied works, as well as with the basics of literary knowledge. The methodological goal of the manual is to develop the skills of auditing on the material of lectures on the history of Russian literature, acquaintance with three types of abstract: abstract-plan, notes-scheme, textual abstract.
