The monograph reveals the ideological foundations, content, and forms of manifestation of social activity among schoolchildren in Russia during the second half of the 19th to the early 20th century, including oppositional and radical characteristics. The connections of the student movement with sociocultural, political, legal, socio-psychological reasons, and driving forces of destructive behavior and social aggression of adolescents are studied. The research results develop theoretical ideas about education and school as means of ensuring the stability of public life, about the resources of modern education in assisting the creation of a legal, social state, and civil society.
