The monograph is dedicated to improving the methods of targeted and controlled regulation of the structure of C-S-H gel by varying the doses, sizes, physicochemical characteristics of the surface, and the nanomaterials used. The authors have developed an additive that, in addition to reducing the water demand of the concrete mix and stabilizing the nanoparticles, also contains a superplasticizer. Dependencies have been identified between the strength growth of cement stone and structural heavy concrete and the components of the complex additive. Experimental confirmation of the mechanism of action of the combined nano-additive with reduced nanoparticle consumption on the structure of C-S-H gel has been obtained through the application of a set of methods. It has been found that the use of the complex additive contributes to a proportional increase in the modulus of elasticity, hardness, and mechanical characteristics of Portland cement stone and concrete. The study of the additive on a construction site has shown the prospects of its application in construction, ensuring a reduction in the cost of nanomodification technology for concretes relative to the effect of improving operational characteristics. The monograph is intended for specialists from scientific research, construction, and design organizations dealing with the modification of concrete with nanomaterials, as well as for students, postgraduates, doctoral students, and teachers working on problems of construction materials science.
