The monograph analyzes the history of the strike and trade union movement in Russia from 1988 to 1995. The author, a doctor of historical sciences and a political technologist, advised the independent miners' union of Russia (1992) and the Rosugleprofsoyuz (1993-1995). The author was the initiator and a member of the executive committee of the "Miners of Russia" movement. For the first time in the work, the phenomena of strikes without formulated demands and the "cumulative effect" of strikes are described. The concept of a "strikebreaker" is introduced for studying the "destroyer" of the strike movement, and the question of the sources of strike financing is raised. The work analyzes the image-building of the "Miners of Russia" movement (1994-1995) - a unique political-technological development that was not disclosed at the time of its creation. The main conclusion of the book is that the transforming nomenklatura of the USSR, in the course of perestroika, solving its economic and political tasks, encroached on the rights of workers by "squeezing" the strike movement into the framework of "new" trade unions.
