The works of the great classic of Russian and world literature of the 19th century, I. S. Turgenev, are remarkably diverse - stories, novellas, novels, plays, prose poems.
The collection presents the best examples of Turgenev's novellas, revealing the world of complex emotional experiences of his characters, enriched with philosophical reflections and sadness, against the backdrop of amazingly poetic lyrical landscapes, such as 'Faust', 'Asya', 'First Love', 'Spring Waters', and others. The collection also includes 'Senilia' (prose poems), which have become the swan song of the great writer. In a condensed form, they represent his reflections on Russia and the world, on love and happiness, on faith, beauty, and sacrifice, on loneliness and old age, on sensitivity and humanity.
