Arkady Inin is a Soviet and Russian writer, playwright, screenwriter, and publicist. He is the author of over two hundred TV and radio shows (such as KVN, "Blue Light," "Café 13 Chairs," "Good Morning!" and others), newspaper articles, and magazine feuilletons. He is one of the creators of the programs "Around Laughter" and "From the Heart!". Fifty films and TV series have been made based on Arkady Inin's scripts, many of which have become classics of cinema. The most famous film novels and stories are included in this book: "A Dormitory is Available for the Lonely," "Once Twenty Years Later," "UTESOV. A Song for Life," "MAYAKOVSKY. Two Days," and others. "Once in Soviet cinemas, before the start of a movie, they showed a newsreel. News of the country, reports from the fields, labor and creative achievements. Soviet cinemas are long gone. But I myself come from a Soviet childhood. And so, traditionally, I precede the screening of my films with a newsreel. More precisely, these are not yet films. These are scripts. But without scripts, there would be no films. When I teach screenwriting at VGIK, on the first lesson, I tell students a joke. In a film archive, two mice are gnawing on a film reel. And one mouse says to the other: "The script was tastier!" Fifty films have been made based on my scripts. But I leave only nine for your judgment. And all of them are about love." - Arkady Inin
