The conflict between the planets Ayrem and E'rono, which has been going on for five years, is about to drag neighboring star systems into it. Only a marriage between the heirs of the royal families of both planets could help establish a lasting peace, but this was thwarted by a sudden attempt on the couple's lives. Jedi Knight Gella Nattay sets out to find the criminal to stop the ruthless war that has just begun, while Chancellor Kyon Grailark assigns his son Axel to represent the interests of the Republic in this investigation.
