This publication is a collection of documents on the history of the fraternal movement in Russia. In different historical conditions, the desire for the norm of fraternal communication in the church could gain different forms, embody in the life of individual parishes and monasteries.
In this collection, an attempt was made to distinguish historical periods, when church associations arose in the Russian Orthodox Church with the greatest intensity, which realized and called themselves "brotherhoods". This approach allows you to see what historical, social, intra -church "challenges that Orthodox fraternities were in different historical eras, as well as what eras and why they turned out to be the most productive for their appearance.
The materials of the collection can be interesting to secular and church historians, as well as practicing Christians who seek organically associated with the Orthodox tradition of the form of expression of the gospel norm of Christian life.
It is recommended to use the materials of the collection for educational purposes.
