“Saga O Helga” is an adventure novel, which takes place at the end of the 10th century in Norway and on the banks of the Baltic, when the throne of Norway goes to Olaf Tryggvason, famous Viking and a zealous Christian. Not all Norwegians agree with the policy of Christianization that Olaf conducts with fire and sword. For those who have chosen exile, the only chance to return to their homeland is to defeat Olaf. “Saga O Helgi” - stylization for the Scandinavian sagas and follows the laws of the genre. In the novel you will not find descriptions of nature or thoughts of heroes. But it has many battles and fights. Norwegians, Danes, Swedes, Baltic, Western and Eastern Slavs - those tribes that inhabited the Baltic coast in distant times - appear to readers such as they are described by sagas and few historical works that have reached us
