The Royal Fortress is the king’s defensive position in the debut and Mittelshpile. Its walls are determined by the pedestrian structure: at fortress No. 1, the pawns are in the initial position, that is, on F7, G7, H7 (or F2, G2, H2) The authors explain in detail how to attack and how to protect this fortress, in what debuts it is found.
