The monograph presents the results of a systematic consideration of the physical culture as a modern sociocultural phenomenon and as an important component of the educational process aimed at the formation of the personality of the 21st century - a harmoniously developed, leading healthy lifestyle. Along with the consideration of the conceptual-methodological foundations of physical education of the younger generation, the influence of modern processes on their transformation, the monographs reflect the directions and models of modernization of physical education in school, innovative methods and educational practices for their implementation. The conclusions, recommendations and proposals for the improvement of physical education in educational organizations, as well as for the training of personnel for this activity, have been formulated.
