The basis of one of the most famous adventure novels of Mine Reed was the dramatic story of the resettlement of Indian tribes, which unfolded in the thirties of the XIX century in Florida, is a story of hatred and cruelty, love and friendship. The Indians led by the legendary leader of Oceol then entered into a desperate martial art not for life, but for death.
The main characters of the novel - the brave Indian, the leader of the Oceol, and the young planter George Randolph - by an unusual coincidence become friends. The proud Oceol will fight for his people, for the right of the Indians to live on their original lands. And George Randolph, drafted into the American army, will remain loyal to friendship with a young leader, despite the fact that he himself is forced to resist the Indians ... Each of the young people will have to face insidiousness and betrayal, to be in mortal danger, to survive the loss of loved ones, but still to find Love and devoted friends.
