About the book
The life of Kilian Zhornet, the famous Catalan athlete, is inextricably linked with the mountains. Already at the age of five, he with his parents climbed the two highest peakies - Aneto and Says - and by the age of ten he conquered all the peaks in the Pyrenees.
Now Kilian is the world champion in Skyranning, a three -time UTMB champion (Ultrail around Montblans) and the world champion in ski -alpinism, he owns several records in different types of mining. At thirty, Kilian set himself new goals, including climbing, and implemented a grandiose project of the “peak of my life”, in which he surprised the world with the legendary double ascension to Everest without oxygen
Zhornet has repeatedly experienced the boundaries of human endurance: much seemed to be simply impossible before him. And this is not an accident and not luck: he trained the body and mind since childhood.
Having conquered the main peak of the world (and a number of others), Kilian Zhornet shares his thoughts in this book. She is about fidelity to dream, about freedom, about love for the mountains, about friends and mentors. And that the path itself, complex and dangerous, is more important than conquering the top
