In the monograph, the problem of the development of motor qualities (high -speed, power, endurance, dexterity and coordination, flexibility) and the physical training of athletes is subjected to a comprehensive analysis. With its content, the presented work is fundamentally different from most generalizing works devoted to the motor qualities and physical training of athletes. The structure of motor qualities and the methodology of their development are considered not through the prism of achieving the highest training effect in relation to one or another quality, but on the basis of the level of development and the characteristics of the manifestation of each of the motor qualities of the effectiveness of motor actions, characteristic of a particular sport, organic interconnection of motor qualities between themselves and other aspects of the preparedness of athletes - technical, tactical, psychological.
